Left London on the Eurostar which is an experience. Nice and fast. Managed to negotiate the Metro and find the youth hostel easily. Pretty spartan but clean. Thursday saw us get the Metro into the Champs Elysees and first stop was the Louvre. Spent all morning there viewing the very impressive collections. Just amazing to see the Mona lisa and how people are in her presence. Plus a bonus to see the exhibition of "Armenia Sacra" which was a fascinating look at the Armenians (for Lou that is). A morning is not enough to do justice to it all. Hopped on a bus tour around the city which is a good way to see things and hop off to check them out which we did at the Eiffel Tower. First time we have had to queue for something in the whole trip. Went right to the top; An amazing view right around Paris. It was extremely cold at the top though. Needed a hot coffee to warm us up at the bottom.
