The idea was to cross the US-Maxican border in Tijuana. Ben bought my bike in Arizona, so the official title was in his name. When we tried to get temporary import licenses for the both bikes, it appeared it was not allowed to have more than one temp. import license on one name :-(. We tried our utmost to convine any of the (mostly female) staff of Banjercito (the office on duty), but we couldn't succeed. We had a few options:

- drive all the way back to Arizona, and have the bike put in my name; 2 days travel and a problem when Ben's next trip-partner would take over my bike.

Thank you Bill Gates.

- try again the same night, when staff changed at the office

- try a different border xsing.

We choose option 3, created our own Argentinian license card (MS Word ;-)  ) and went off.
