Today we spent most of the day on the bus on the long journey to Barcelona, we were kept amused by our tour leader and her dancing, singing Christmas hat!  We stopped along the way to see the Carcassone Chateau Comtal which has been used in many films.

We stopped for the worst Christmas lunch ever at a small roadhouse along the way, was nothing like Mum's Christmas Lunch!!

We finally arrive in Barcelona and stop first at the Sagrada Familia - this is something you either love or hate - personally I didn't like it, I thought it was quite ugly..  It is unfinished and a guy called Antoni Gaudi worked on it for 40 years (and yes it is still unfinished), it has 18 towers in all, from the tallest one representing Jesus Christ, then Virgin Mary, the 4 Evangelists and the 12 Apostles.

We check into our hotel which is right on the water and by far the best hotel we had stayed in!  It is time to get ready to head off to our Christmas dinner and Flamenco dancing show!  The show was absolutely brilliant, and the food was nice but different, we has some strange tangy cold soup and a tuna/rice risotto.

The following morning after breakfast Peta & I got locked out of our hotel room - of course it has to happen to us again!!  After the tour bus waited for them to get us back in for about 20 mins we told them to go off without us and we will get the metro in to meet them.  We finally got in and they told us we may have to move rooms, we weren't very happy about that so they stupidly gave us the master key to all rooms in the hotel - what kind of hotel does that?!?!  It would of looked quite bad on us if something went missing!  We finally caught up with the tour and did some sightseeing of Barcelona and went up to the Montejuic where there were some fantastic views of the city.  We visited a brilliant church (one of the many) with a garden of geese of to the side (you see everything in Europe!).   We finally subsided to the hotel to start the trip to Madrid the following day.
