Two weeks from today I'll be boarding the plane, well actually 3 planes, to get to Australia!  It's starting to feel like it's really here!  I've been planning this trip forever, and now the countdown has actually arrived!

I'm starting to wonder about the little things, like how I'm going to fit 5 months worth of clothing and shoes (plus the "important things" like school supplies and travel books!) into TWO SUITCASES!!  When I moved into my first dorm room my parents rented an 18-passenger van to move all my crap in, and now I'm taking two suitcases?!!

Ashley and I had orientation the other day and the program director made a comment about how they don't wear shoes as often as we do - say in grocery stores and such.  We found this pretty hilarious, but maybe we won't have to pack as many shoes?  Well, I guess it makes Christmas easier - no need to buy me presents because they just won't fit in my luggage haha!

Another thing they mentioned was that most Australian dorm rooms are all singles.  Ash and I of course made the brilliant decision to share a double room together, although neither of us have shared a room in our life!  Oh the experiences that are to come.  Don't worry, we've already made a pact not to kill each other no matter what ;)

I'm getting excited to write about my travels from abroad, so stay tuned for more.  I just wanted to make sure this blog works alright before I leave, let's hope it does!  More later...
