Day 9: Yosemite National Park from Bass Lake. Today, we will explore the magnificent Yosemite National Park, with its famous rock formations of El Capitan and Half Dome. When we arrive on the valley floor, you will have the opportunity to cycle or hike (seasonal and weather permitting) or simply soak up the atmosphere of one of America’s treasured national parks. We return to Bass Lake in the afternoon for water sports (seasonal) and to relax in our mountain paradise. Chalets - Multi-share (D,B)

Day 9 - Contki Tour

DAY 1:

Today was yet another day on the bus. (We are very quickly getting over these travel days as they leave us very tired!) We stopped for lunch in Barstow and had a quick break in Bakerfield before we arrived in Bass Lake. We had to give introductions of ourselves again to all the new contiki members who had joined our group in Las Vegas so the time was passed pretty quickly. We arrived in Bass Lake after dark so our tour manager arranged a pizza party for us. It was a rather early night for us as we were getting up early the next day to go to Yosemite National Park.

DAY 2:

Today we spent our time at Yosemite National Park. It was truely amazing and again words cannot describe this place. We spent the day wandering the trails from the car park to a beautiful waterfall and then onto a nice warm country lodge for lunch and then we caught the shuttle back to the carpark area before heading back to Bass Lake late in the afternoon. We had dinner together as a group for one of our last meals as tomorrow was our last day on Contiki!
