Pretty easy drive up from Byron to Brisbane, only had a couple of stops first to drop off/pick up passengers in Surfers Paradise and second to go Zorbing! Zorbing was excellent fun, for anyone who might not know all it is is rolling down a hill in a massive plastic ball! There are a few variations but the one we did involved 3 of us getting in the ball filled with water, & just splashing around as you roll down the hill. Went Zorbing  with my friends from the bus Denise and Sian and couldn't stop laughing was very fun! The only difficult thing was getting in the ball in the first place as nearly got stuck! Got into brissy at around 6 and checked into our hostel Tin Billy. Bar there is really good so had some dinner there first and then did the pub quiz which was fun, we didn't win or anything but was pretty pleased aquitted myself well and knew fair few of the answers to my team didn't do too badly although a prize would have been nice! They gave out free glasses which made you look pretty stupid but definetly worth wearing them as they later announced free shots for anyone with them on!

Had a really good few days in Brisbane. Spent bit of time just have a wander around the city and checking out the shops and all but also took is fair few of the city's sights like the City Hall, Museums and Botanic Gardens which were really pretty. Really liked the whole area around the South Bank, they had a night market there and in the day we went down to the man made beach on the river which is pretty cool and being school holidays v popular with the kids. When we were swimming there Michael Ahterton and David Gower walked past and i very unsubtly shouted that out not realising that they could probably hear me! One ot the best things we did was getting the City Cat ferry at night as saw the city all lit up which was lovely. While I in Brisbane I went to visit my Mum's friend Chantal and her family who live out in the Suburbs in place called Wellington Point, which is nice area and so good seeing them and having good food and be able to watch satellite tv! Found it weird being in a house again and having my own room as have got so used to life as a backpacker! Denise and I also got the train down to the Gold Coast and went to the massive water park there called Wet N Wild which was really good fun, worked our way through most of the rides although didn't managed to do them all as massive queues. Was shame Sian couldn't come too but she had managed to line herself up some work including in the Tin Billy bar to help finance the rest of trip so were able to visit  her in there!
