Day 5 - Drove to Peggy's Cove in Nova Scotia, saw a lighthouse which is the only one in the world that is also a post office, and cute little fishing village. There were huge rocks and the ocean crashing against them was all very maritime like. Apperently old American tourists go too close and fall off the rocks every year. It was sunny while we were there but in about 2 minutes this big fog blanketed the place and driving out reminded me of that movie the Monster Club. Scary!

Next stop was Lunenburg, a UNESCO world heritage site. It's one of the first European colonies, i think British, in Canada and all the houses are so old and colorful! Bought a cool pirate looking t-shirt there. Really would have liked more time to look around, that's one of the shit things about a tour is you can't stay longer in certain places but oh well. That night we drove into Annapolis Royal, a very monarchist town with rich old people, and stayed out of town in an old rambling run down house in the middle of an apple orchard. I loved this house! It was totally out of a ghost movie. Upstairs was like an orphanage where all the beds were and the attic was unfinished. If it was in Australia there would have been spiders everywhere so luckily there were none.

Day 6 - had a pancake breakfast and checked out posh town before visiting the old fort where some fightin took place and then the Bay of Fundy. Did a hardcore hike up a hill, then hit a winery for a wine tour and 6b free tastings! That was the best part of the day. The girl went through it really quick so that we could drink faster and then we went river tubing. I'm glad we went to the winery first. We each got a tube and then were off down the river. I was shitting myself at first but it was very relaxing just floating down it in a tube. Then it started to get faster and I was flying towards low tree branches so I grabbed on and nearly lost my tube. I was like, get me out of here! But I ended up grabbing on to some of the others for a while and actually having a conversation as we flew at lightning speed down the river. Some bits were a bit scary but it was pretty fun overall and the guide helped me stop at the end. Okay.. I was hanging on to his shoe so that I didn't keep on going and end up in some whitewater. Really happy that I did it, it was worth the adrenaline and screaming.
