A 10am flight from KL and two hours later we arrived in Siem Reap. We flew with Air Asia and got the flights for 250RM including taxes and airport departure fees. That's around 50euro - Bargain!

We arrived to lashing rain (again) but thankfully over the next few days we had perfect weather. "Sun, make me bl-ack!" was the agenda. We went to some really plush hotels and for around $5 used their swimming, gym, jacuzzi facilities. Some of the pools were excellent - we had a great time chilling out.

It was Kev's 36th birthday on the Saturday (more photos to be uploaded). We had a blast (from what I remember) haha. It started with some happy pizza and let's just say it went from there - with 2 bottles of Mekong Whiskey for $6, you get the idea :o)

We checked out a sunset over Angkor Wat the following day which was good but a bit of a let down, with what I had pictured in my mind. The following morning we visited alot of temples, including Ta Prohm (where Tomb Raider was filmed) and Angkor Wat itself. It was 40 degrees by 10 o'clock so it was a bit of a sweat-box (combined with all the steps - you can imagine) but overall well worth the visit.

Tomorrow, we catch the bus to Phnom Penh..

PS For those who know me well - I got my head shaved. Well not a raw blade or anything complete northsidery :o) but shorter than I've ever had it. I'm looking forward to it growing back I must say. But at least when it's gone I know what I'll look like - George Clooney without the grey hair haha
