I'm writing this on the third day of our trip so far, so I'll recap the best I can. our Flight left LAX at 8:30am on Wednesday, and flew into Honolulu at about 12:15pm.  After we rented our sassy Toyota Corolla, we Stared the drive to Haleiwa. The tourist map that the rental car company gave us (thrifty) was a piece of crap so we got lost and ended up driving all the way up the east shore to get to the North shore, which wasn't so bad,  twas very beautiful. While driving past sunset that day they were holding the Sunset Beach Pro. in the few seconds we drove by , we saw Joel Parkinson, pulling a HUGE floater on a HUGE wave, and no kidding the waves are giant. I heard yesterday that he ended up winning that contest. The rest of the first day we set our sleeping arrangements up ad such and crashed fairly early. Yesterday, we had some breke and took a run on the beach in front of the house which eventually led us to the set of LOST, we ran through the "beach camp" to get back to the road. After or run we went to Wal-Mart to go get a few provisions that we needed. Later in the afternoon, Brendon and I body surfed  Waimea shorebreak, which I can attest is very powerful. Now it's time to go check the surf. The  report says 10-15ft right now, but sideshore winds. We now have some decent boards to ride, so hopefully we can get something to surf.
