The start of our second week and we decided to go to Universal Studios. It was about a half hr drive away from our villa so we got up early again and headed off. It was really hot and we couldnt stay out in the heat for too long!!
It wasn't very busy as it was a Monday so the queues were short and we managed to go on most of the rides. We started off with the Terminator Three experience first (one which i skipped when i went years ago!!) It was really good and was a 4-d experience with loads of different effects including fire and steam and massive robots! it really made you feel like you were part of the film.

We then went on the ET ride which was actually better than i remembered, this was nice and relaxing and we got to say goodbye to ET! Then we went on the Back to the Future ride which didnt go down too well with quite a few of us especially Neil. It was a moving simulation ride where you sat in the Delorian, which seated 8 people, and there was amassive screen in front of you that made you feel like you were right in the action. it was very jolty and poor neil did well not to throw up......he looked a bit green.

After that we had a break and got some lunch and then went on the infamous jaws ride which was very good. we went out on a boat with a driver and then jaws kept jumping out of the water at us, it was very realistic and there were excellent effects. We then went on MIB ride where the 6 of us sat in a moving carriage and we had to shoot at the aliens. Claire got loads of points, i was just anticipating when we would be spun around i dont like spinning round!! right at the end we were plunged into darkness and the carriage was spinning and spinning i thought it would never stop!! It was still good fun though! We watched the blues brothers in concert which was good and went on the earthquake ride where i was a volunteer!! they showed you how they filmed eartquake scenes etc and i had to put a rainmac on and pretend we were out at sea!! neil got me on camera it was quite funny!!The ride was on an underground train that starts off with trembles and then the ground caves in and a big lorry falls straight towards you and then loads of water comes rushing down. it was very realistic. The last thing we went on was 4D Shrek which was excellent. We sat in a cinema with a big screen and wore our sexy 3D glasses, our chairs vibrated and we felt rain and fire which coincided with what we were watching on the screen. it was very funny and a great end to the day.
