The drive from Cache Creek to Tacoma was amazing.  We traveled in the canyon following the Fraser River.  You have room for the river, the railroad on each side and a two lane road for miles and miles.  Beautiful scenery if you can look up from the road.

We stopped at Hell's Gate Air Tram and went down into the gorge for lunch.  While having lunch we saw the Rocky Mountaineer train passing through the Hell's Gate tunnel.  WOW.

We arrived at my sisters house intending to stay a couple of days over the holiday weekend, but more trouble with the van meant we stayed almost a week.  A coolant leak was discovered when I got the oil changed and it took two days to repair.  (Parts had to come from Portland)  Thanks Shari for putting up with us!!

On a lighter note, we went to visit Mount Rainier and the day was absolutly beautiful.  The sky was blue and the mountain was magnificent.  We also went to the Science Fiction Hall of Fame and up in the Space Needle.  All in all, it was a very enjoyable week.
