Singapore
We had a lovely flight with Singapore airline's from Bali. We stayed in a part of Singapore know as Little India. A mad place entirely, its like a slice of india slap bang in the middle of a huge asian city. There is lots of hustle and bustle with the Indian hawkers trying to sell everything under the sun.
The hostel, we stayed in was never going to win any awards for "best hostel of the year" (check out the curtains in the pic's) but its a good location for exploring the city/country. A quick hop on the metro an you can get anywhere in the city, pretty handy, really efficient and spotless. No eating or drinking on the metro of course, 500 euro fine for that!!

So what did we get up to while we were here? We explored china town, and luckily enough for us it was chinese new years (year of the ox), so there was loads going down. Loads of decorations up, dancing and more markets, selling all sorts. We grabbed lunch on a hawkers stand for about 2 euro's each. So even though the city is pretty expensive you can still grab a meal for next to nothing..
And if you cannot hack the heat on the street, then there is over 84 shopping malls to explore!! And finally no trip to singapore would be complete without a visit to Raffles Hotel and the Long bar. Unfortunately the budget does not allow for swanky cocktails in the Long bar (:o(, so we only had a sneak peek.
