Day 1 - Hola Madrid

"Welcome to Spain", that's what I said to myself when we first landed at the Madrid Barajas Airport Terminal 2, located 12km from downtown.  No customs was necessary since I was flying via Paris; but I had to wait 45 minutes in order to retrieve my luggage.

Out of the secure zone and on my way to find a money exchange, that turns out to be not that easy, I walked and walked until I found one.  With money on hand I was ready to find transportation to my hotel.  Theres several ways that this could have been accomplished, but I went the easy way and went and get a cab.  30 Euros and 25 minutes later I was in front of my hotel.
