We landed at the Barcelona airport... and Abbey fell in love.  Seriously.  They had Chanel, and Lacoste, and Burberry, and other brands Jen had never heard of.

We headed in the wrong direction to the baggage claim (damn language-barrier) but at least got to window shop along the way - Abbey wants to move in and never leave.  Again, she is serious -- sick.

We finally found baggage, and got on the city bus to the Placa de Catalanya, the center of town.

We took a taxi to our hotel because we were exhausted - even though it was right down the street.

Our hotel is actually in a residential building called "Apartments in Barcelona" - we had a great room overlooking the street (but more on that later).

We were starving, but luckily for us, it was 11:30 in Barcelona - dinner time.  We walked literally next door to a darling little restaurant - which, much to Jen's delight (and Abbey thinks her plan all along) a Mexican restaurant - it was DECLICIOUS!

The "Rosa Negra" had great Mojitos (our drink of choice), and we each had great meals.

But, the highlight was definitely dessert - apple cinnamon crepes with caramel for abbey, and the "world's best brownie" for jen.

The people at the next table ended up being from L.A. and the guy clung to us (his traveling buddies weren't too hot lookin', no offense to them -- but then again we hadn't showered since before walking all day - and up 35 flights - in Sevilla and weren't too hot ourselves).

We headed up to bed at around 1:30 - and were SO TIRED... too bad for us our "perfect location" right near the city center also meant we were staying on the noisiest street not only in Barcelona, not only in Spain, but (dare we say) the world.  Sirens, dumpsters, yelling, trains, canons, drunken songs, and motorcycles continued past two, past four, past six, and were still goin' when we got up at 9.

It kinda made Abbey want to head back to that beautiful, amazing, lovely airport.
