We are in the little town of Aguas Calientes, a 30min bus ride to Machu Picchu. We will be waking up at 5am tomorrow to go up there. This is the slowest internet connection in the world. We are loving our trip and hope to update everything in a day or so. We still can not believe that tomorrow is our last night in Peru.

UPDATE

With another early morning, we took a 3 hour train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. This is a little town built around the train tracks, and is the last stop before Machu Picchu. We spent a few hours exploring the town and then went to the thermal baths that the town is named after. To get to the baths you had a hike about ½ mile uphill, so by the time you get there the hot baths are very welcome. The baths are on the edge of the jungle and there are about 5 different pools of different sizes and temperatures. They looked like man made swimming pools but the bottoms were gravel and rocks. There were signs telling you not to sleep or spit in the pools. You could get cocktails brought down to you by whistling to the bartender. We thought it best not to partake due to the elevation and hot water--we were afraid we would brake the no sleeping in the pools rule. We stayed about 45 min before we got too hot and decided to leave. When we got back to our hotel we got a tandem, hour-long massage that was wonderful and only $25 each. By this point, our trip was starting to catch up with us and we were very tired mentally and physically. We went to bed early for our 5am wake up call to go to Machu Picchu.
