Practical Information: It took us approximately 2 hours to drive from Blenheim to Windsor.  I don't know that it always takes that long, but we went through Henley-on-Thames which I'm sure is lovely when there isn't major road construction.

Windsor Castle - We disappointed that the Queen didn't invite us in for tea, but we're getting used to it.  Our first stop in the castle was Queen Mary's Doll House, the level of detail is fascinating.   The State Rooms were very impressive.  The only sign of the restoration after the fire was that some of the paneling wasn't as aged looking.  The restorers did a magnificent job though.  I don't know if the Moat Garden is ever open to the public (it wasn't that day), but it looked lovely from over the wall.

Windsor High street and the a few adjacent streets are pedestrian only which makes Windsor a very walkable town.  Great clothes shopping, but very expensive.  Royal Ascot was two weeks away and the windows were filled with hats of all shapes, sizes and colors.
