First Stop-Lake Tahoe

When we came through the mountains and saw Lake Tahoe it was wonderful! We stopped and hiked down to the rocks where you could sit and take in the view. When we were finished we headed to the southern end of Lake Tahoe and got a hotel. It was strange to see all the buildings and homes surrounding the lake in this area. Lots of homes, upscale shops. A road with bumper to bumper traffic, some casinos on the Nevada side. I didn't like it, I expected a more natural area.
