Day 3 on the Canadian dawned with a hidden problem well one that took a little while to come to light some time during the night we were stopped for about 3 hours due to a derailment of a freight train after many hours of deciding what to do VIA Rail put us north on to a freight line so we can keep moving but it has put us around 3 hours behind and its been quite nice as we are traveling on a line and through towns that you would not normally see.

It is interesting to note how peoples ideas of a journey chance once they come to terms with the fact that it is beyond there control and it is alot better to just sit back and enjoy what is passing out side the window.

This line has ment that we have had to keep to a speed of around 15 miles an hour some times even less one thing i have to say it is sure a rougher line than what we were on before the derailment.

We are hopeing to be in Saskatoon around 12:00* but i think hey we get there when we get there it is in fact nice to just be on the train going somewhere and a little bit of me feels that if we had been a few more more down the track i wonder if we could have been caught up in the derailment .....
