Well we have finally made it to Paris after spending 2 days in a great town 1 hr Sth of Paris in the famous Liore Valley, renown for its Castles; We went to see a couple on a tour and the larger one had over 500 rooms. It was byuild for Francois the 1st as a hunting retreat for him and his royal mates;he onlyused it 70 times and it took 35 yrs to build. No wonderthe poor tax payers revolted.

We arrived in Paris to see the Bastille Day celebrations and did the normal site seeing bit, The Eiffel tower (which shut down just as we arrived), the D'Orsay Museum which had just about every renown painting you could ever wish to see,the Pantheon etc,etc

We skipped the <Louvre yesterday as it was free and every frenchman (and his dog) decided to go. What we did not realise until today wasthat it closes on Tuesdays, bugger, we will miss it. On saying that I have had enneogh of churches and associated painting for a lifetime

We are off to London in the morning so a bit of packing required. Jill is of saving more money for me. By the time me get home she should have saved eneogh to pay for the trip

The weather is much more comfortable than Italy, about 24/25 C, the food is better and the people are much quieter and more ;refined; for want of a better word

STARTING TO MISS HOME AT THIS STAGE AND LOOKING FORWARD TO CATCHING UP WITH YOU LOT AND A SLIDE SHOW OVER A RED WINE

LOVE TO ALL

Bill and Jill

Hi Bill, So glad Jill has managed to save so much!! You have to shop when you can! Can't pop back to Paris next week. We thought you may like to check out the museums here when you get back?? Mum is a mean tabletennis player! Very impressed. I think I will join the Senior Cits. They sure have a lot of laughs. Hope London is all you hoped it would be. Enjoy the final week of your trip. Luv Tricia XX
