An afternoon in the Peak

Arrived in Sheffield mid morning and had lunch in the Peak District, followed by a lovely walk through woods and accross fields. A beautiful dry day with rolling hills and big skies. Drove up to Stanage Edge later in the afternoon where the sun illuminated the rocks and bracken, already indicating that autumn is upon us. Spent over an hour rock-hopping (not so great on the knees) and gazing in awe at the beaty of the place that is such a short drive from one of the biggest cities in England. A most wonderful afternoon!
