Good Morning Vietnam!

Hi Guys

Happy Birthday Mum! It was so good to speak to you, enjoy the rest of your day!!

We have been in Vietnam for a few days now and so far we have loved every second. We've met up with our new tour leader and he is really nice and experienced which is always a bonus. We had a homestay yesterday and it was amazing. We had to travel a few hours by small boat to get there (think Apocalypse Now) it felt like we were in the middle of a jungle. On the way we stopped off at different local businesses to see how they made the local products, among those were coconut candy, bricks and salt. The people there worked so hard, nothing seemed to hard for them. When we arrived at the huts we were staying we were completely amazed. The huts were right on the river side, and the beds were all out in the open, all we had between us and the outside was a mosquito net! The people here are just like in Cambodia, they are so nice. We had some locals come and sing some Vietnamese songs to us and they all turned up in there best outfits, so excited to perform for us. We could easily have stayed there for a few more nights but sadly only got one night to spend with them.

We are now back in Ho Chi Minh City briefly before we get an overnight train to our next stop which is Nha Trang. So we will update you again in a few days time.
