The may seem like a repeat of every train ride, but the Dutch countryside is also beautiful. The European countryside in general is a wonderful sight. We got to Amsterdam early and met up with Molly at the hostel. Our first stop was the Anne Frank House. It was a very somber place, but it was a good experience. We then traveled to the Tulip Museum, but we didn't see the museum, we just got postcards. We then made the journey over to the Rijksmuseum which house many works by Rembrandt and Vermeer. The city of Amsterdam is a beautiful sight with all canals, and buildings. The Museum itself is enormous and I work of art itself. The exhibits included over 400 works. I was surprised to see so many masterpieces by Vermeer and Rembrandt like The Night Watch and The Cloth Traders. After gazing in awe at these works, we headed over to the Van Gogh Museum. This was also impressive. Just seeing some of his most famous works like his self portraits and The Bedroom were awesome. We had completed our artistic tour,so we headed back to the hostel, freshened up a bit, ate, and headed to a comedy club we had heard about called Boom Chicago. We were early so we relaxed a little bit. The show was very funny. It was a mix of improv and skits, somewhat like Second City. We headed back to the hostel.

The next day we decided to go to Keukenhof. This is a famous garden of tulips, duh it is Holland, just south of Amsterdam. We spent a few hours here and then we headed back to the city center. We wanted to find the Red Light District, just to say we had been there, haha. We ended up going into the Sex Museum, which was interesting to say the least. We did end up going to the Red Light District. It was strange, and sad. After that we ate some more and headed back early. We had to catch our flight at 9:30am. It was nice to be on the plane back to Cork. The trip was wonderful, but it was good to be back. When we got off the plane, they had the drug dogs already.
