Bates' big trip has visited no places in Chiang Mai

The first flight was 1.5 hrs to LA, then 14.5 to Taipe, 5.5 to Bangkok and 1 hour to Chiang Mai, and I lost the 7th April over the international date line.
I got a taxi from Chiang Mai airport and went to the Blue House to see everyone. God it was so good to see them. Jonty had even shaved. I had a cry, had a hug, had a shower and then they took me to a lovely cafe for some dinner.
That night I went to bed at 9:30 with one of the kids either side of me and Jont on the mattress on the floor (ready for his 2 am alarm to watch Liverpool-Arsenal), and slept pretty solidly till 10 am the next day.
Home. Bliss.
