First day in Oslo

We arrived at Oslo central station by express train flytoget. 170 kr (AUD $36) The trip took 20min & Oslo central station was the second stop. It was wonderful to see all the cottage looking houses lined up on mountains as we pass by via train.

It is chilly as we exit the train and trying not fall through the large gap between the platform and the train.

Oslo Centralen train station was buzzing with people. We locate the information centre to get directions to our hotel. City hotel was nicely located 1 block from Karl Johan gate – the main street of Oslo.

We drag our luggage through the rubbles due to the construction taking place in town. In 3 mins on we arrive at our hotel. Our rooms are not available but they have a spare room without facilities which for us was better then having no room at all.

We check in and what was meant to be a short snooze turned out to be be a sleep in to catch up on the rest we have not received since departing sydney 24hrs ago.
