Departing Pompeii we head onwards for another 1.5 hr drive towards Sorrento where we are staying overnight. The coast of Sorrento is amazing as it stretches as far as the eye can see with plenty of homes all closely knit together.
Everyone is friendly and the town has a great ambiance to it.
We go by the beaches that are not sandy, but pebbled and Earl tells us you need to pay to use the beach but for the cost, you get the complete shack to put your belongings in and you sun chair.

We arrive in the town of Sorrento and the roads are truly tight. Almost just enough for one car let alone one car and one bus. The coach squeezes through the tight turns as our stomach turns as it is closer then what we are used to. Almost touching the next car or coach beside us.
The town is quiet but it is because shops close between 1pm and 5pm. They re- open back up at 5pm.
We arrive at our hotel ‘Central Park Hotel’, which has few nice restaurants and bars surrounding it. The hotel is about a 20min ride into the main town.
The town is brightened up with the beautiful red flower often seen in Italy. It’s a great little town.
We check in and our room faces the pool area with a large balcony.
Dinner is at 6pm so we get ourselves dressed. The drive to the town of Sorrento was entertaining because the roads are so narrow and everyone drives with such confidence. They are brilliant drivers as some of the tight spots they get out are quite amazing.
We are dropped off close to the city and Earl leads us to the restaurant. A nice outdoor restaurant and we enjoy a nice dinner with the group.
Dinner consists of grilled vegetables, salad, pasta pizza, & Lemon Cello – lemon skin, sugar, and alcohol.
We are given free time in the city as we stroll through the tight alleyways and visit the many souvenir stores. It is quite a spectacular town with plenty restaurants to dine and plenty people out and about. Everyone is friendly and the town has a great ambiance to it.
Pretty lights and definitely a place to come visit
