Well we've been in Paris for 4 days now, and it is going fabulously! We got off to a rather rocky start, as the airlines (DUMB US AIRWAYS!) lost our luggage! There were 3 of us from Denver, and it was all lost. So, for 3 days I wore the SAME thing...it was getting kinda sketchy. Lemme tell you, taking a shower and then putting on the same clothes day after day is not what I would call pleasant.
I hate BHV ATMs!

Yesterday was probably the best day of my life, as I came to the institute building (in the Marais district, where we have classes) to have orientation, and there it was...a light in the darkness...our luggage! I changed right away, and in new clothes, no one recognized me! :)
We are (CIndy and I) staying with a family right smack in the middle of Paris. It's in the 2eme Arriondissement, and is four blocks north of the Louvre. (!!!!!!)
So far, we have mostly just gone exploring and been getting ourselves set up. Today, we are going to do one of our "walks" for our Paris Walks class. We have to go to different places in Paris and write about what we see in a journal type thing. I am excited, except for the fact that it's rather cold...where is the sun?!

January 18th
Classes have started to pick up the pace, and today we had our first class in the Louvre. Yep, THE Louvre! It was pretty awesome. Except for the fact that it was kinda long...but I'm NOT complaining, because it was in the Louvre!
However, I do feel a little justified in throwing in a bit of a complaint...yesterday, an ATM outside of BHV ate my credit card. My ONLY credit card. It was pretty dramatic, but I'm over it. First the luggage, now this...but hey, it's all good.

Today after class, Cindy and Jane and I went to the Eiffel Tower, which was amazing. I can't believe I've been here a week and haven't even really seen it! Then we went to this sweet Brazilian restaurant, called Fogao. It's all contemporary and chic and very yummy! The best part was the guys that tried to pick us up...haha kidding! That was an awkward moment...
Tomorrow we have to do more walks, for our Paris Walks class. This time it's in the Jewish district, so that should be very...kosher. I guess. I think we're trying falafel for lunch, it's supposed to be good. As long as it's kosher, I'm fine!
