Just mainly wanted to add some photos of San Pedro. My favorite discovery is that about half the streets are actually these little trails (some paved, some gravel) that cars can´t fit on, just dogs, people on foot, bicycles, and an occasional motorcycle. Most of my pictures are of these streets. And the dogs here seem much plumper and happier than those in Xela. I think that most of them are actually pets that are just allowed to run about during the day.
This morning found a place, "La Puerta" that serves cups of, what some of you have heard me refer to as "Kypreos coffee" - this is coffee MUY FUERTE like that made by my friend Kylie´s parents. I will be back there tomorrow morning for another!

Liking my school and my new teacher. He seems very intelligent and is interested in learning about social work in the US, so it should be an adventure. A little difficult to grapple with the fact that even for formally educated Guatemalans there is no work, so they´re forced to work for the tourist industry.
Last night required the use of the mosquito net while sleeping. Not so much for mosquitos, although there was something very small biting me, but for the other scary bugs that appeared in my room once it got dark. Perhaps I WILL look into that "nicer" bungalow tomorrow. A fun discovery - my very own hammock that I can hang up. It was down from the last time it rained, but think I will head back to relax in it very soon.
That´s it - I hope you enjoy the photos!
