A Madeiran experience

Landed  in Funchal at 12.30pm to sunny weather.

While waiting for the luggage we discovered that mine wasn't there. it turns out that some old couple took mine by mistake (but we didn't know for definite).

As we couldn't do anymore at that point we went to hotel to find that my room wasn't ready - could the day get any worse?

My bag arrived at about 4.30pm - yippee, and I was officially allowed in my room 15 minutes later (even though i had a look a little earlier).

We went for a quick walk round some gardens near the hotel before coming back to the hotel for happy hour (20% off) and the welcome meeting.

Went for a meal at 'Don Filet' (i think that was the name) and had a tuna fish steak to eat.
