Triple Twist and other special diving techniques

Before arriving in Vientane we stopped in a place called Vang Vieng, where the only reason people go here is because of the tubing.  Tubing can only be described as the silliest thing anyone has ever invented to be done whilst drinking.  It involves floating down a river in a rubber tube, being pulled into bars and then throwing yourself from a very high height off a swing into the water.  I was successful the first 2 times I did it but the zip wire was not such a success and I ended up doing a triple twist in the air and belly flopping into the water.  Probably one of the most painful things I have ever done, but mucho fun and I would recommend it to all.  At the end of the day you float for 1 1/2 hours back into town arriving cold and with a few few broken bones WOO HOO.

After Vang Veing we headed to Vientane, which is the smallest capital city I have ever been too and the quitest.  We only stayed here one night and saw pretty much all there was to see.  It was now time to cross the border and head over to Vietnam on a 25 hour bus journey!
