Perce, around the Gaspe, is a city that was very busy. It reminded me of an Okanagan City (Penticton, Kelowna, etc.) in the middle of the summer. I could not find a place to stay and I asked a motel clerk if there was something special going on. He said "No, just summer vacation". He was very good to me in that he made a reservation for me just past Chandler.
It was a very pretty town, but could help but wonder what it would be like in the dark days of November.
