Don Khong and Don Khon

The journey to get to Si Phan Don, literaly translated as 1,000 Islands, was on an overnight bus from Vientiane, ending in Pakse and then another bus from a station south of Pakse down to a small river town where we waited for a ferry to cross the Mekong River to pick up the bus and take us across to Don Khong, the island that was my chosen final destination in Laos.
