Millau pronounced mee-yo
From I'll take the backpack with wheels please! in Millau, France on Jul 08 '07
After Florac we drove to a little town called Millau, population 22,000. Millau is known in within France for it's glove making and we noticed many high end shopes with lovely leather goods displayed in the window - gloves, purses, wallets and such.
We were all pretty exhaused from the drive and though we didn't realize it at the time, we were all getting sick. Dana was getting a head cold and I was about to get some sort of stomach virus. Tristan was going to get food poisoning...in a BAD way. The only two people who escaped getting sick were Chloe and Anne. Lucky.
and though we didn't realize it at the time, we were all getting sick.
So that night we went out for a nice dinner...the one which Tristan believes gave him food poisioning... and went to bed around 1am.
When we woke up we all felt rested and refreshed and decided to take a walk. We walked all around the little town looking for breakfast and eventually settled on a cute little cafe for a light breakfast consistaning of croissants and coffee.
We drove out of Millau and made our way back to Nimes to drop off Anne and Tris. Dana and I needed to make our way over to the other coast of France and into Pamplona Spain for the running of the bulls. Anne and her family layed out a driving schedule for us for the next two days and helped us secure a hotel that night in Toulouse. So late that after noon, Dana, Chloe and I got back in the car and drove to Toulouse to spend the night.
