God is so good. have i told you that lately?

i was honestly a little nervous about the people that i would meet up with. would i bond with them? would they think i'm too wierd or too loud or to tall?  well, they all would answer yes to the the previous questions.

germs apparently didn't make it through customs.

God has given us such a unique friendship.  we've spent the whole first week playing cards by candlelight before the other interns got here.  sarah is from maine and has a competitive spirit and is so easy to talk to.  hollie is the quintessential southern belle from georgia and is likely the sweetest girl you'd meet.

one night last week, we were playing cards because the power came back on.  we were telling scary stories (they weren't really that scary, i just get scared easliy).  we're the only people that live in this brand new building, so naturally i was ready to pee my pants when the doorbell rang.  we got dead silent - none of us wanted to move.  sarah finally agreed to see who it was. it was such a relief that it was our landlord - with his mother and sister.  it was a little strange, but the mother was looking at the appartments and wanted to come see our bathroom.  this was a super-wierd exchange of conversation when ulber knew minimal english.  but still, who comes to look at the bathroom at 10:45?

today i'm sick. i have whatever hollie had last week, so please pray for health, especailly for camp.  they don't believe in germs here and soap is often just an extra unnecessary expense.  yeah-chew on that for a while.

love love!

For the love of all that you love, think like a recycling germophobe and use some soap! And chicken noodle soup (sorry McNugget).
