After enjoying the self-described "Greatest City" for a year, I'm moving on. I was rather sad to leave, but at the same tme excited to get started on the trip. I had to take care of a lot of last minute items, like car repairs (a new top and battery) and the minutiae of checking out of a ship. Not to mention visiting all of my favorite places one last time. I had three "last meals" at Tartine, my favorite Coronado cafe, and one last carne asada burrito from Mexican Takeout. I'm really going to miss those places. We also finally did the safari ride at the Wild Animal Park, which is a really phenomenal experience of a lifetime.

Before actually leaving San Diego, I took a quick trip to Hawaii to visit Rob and the family.
