I think i've struck the jackpot here. I only came here as it was the cheapest option . I wasn't expecting such a fantastic resort with a superb location right on the beach.

If you saw Celebrity Love Island you'll know it's nice as this was where it was filmed ,  (despite it being on the mainland.) The bedroom in the show is now a lounge but the camera runs are still there as is some Z list celebrity graffitti.( See photo gallery )

The first day there was another  Cava ceremony where i met some nice Brit lads and we've got on really well. As i was the oldest around the table i was nominated  the ' Chief ' and the name has stuck with me while i've been here.Everywhere i go i the staff call ' Chief!' or ' Andy ! ' which is really nice. The lads are here for a few days as well so it's been a sociable time . Normally everyone is on the move and you don't get the chance to know people before going your seperate ways.

I learnt to play poker one drunken night too, so my time away  hasn't been wasted ! They have a great institution here. Afternoon tea. Every day at 4pm the warm scones come out which are served with butter and strawberry jam ( of course ) and cups of tea. Life won't be the same without my daily fix.

As the name Coral Coast implies , theres a large reef with fish aplenty. We took a trip out and had some decent snorkelling. Nothing truly stunning but still a nice way to spend an hour.Then the heavens opened and it poured.I wouldn't mind but it's not even the rainy season. A walk when the tides out reveals lots of things stranded in the rock pools , including a lot of sea- urchins . The locals collect these and cook them with lime.

I've been playing beach volleyball again too , tho' i don't think i've improved since last time.

Other than that , most of the time has been spent sunbathing with the occaisonal dip in the pool. This would have bored me silly earlier in the trip , but at this stage , it's nice to stop for a while , reflect on the last 9 months and try to mentally prepare for the radical changes when i get home.
