Arriving back in Athens, we did some more wandering (translation, more getting lost).  At 9 PM, we caught a changing of the guards at the Parliament.

The next morning, we were out early to check out the Sunday morning flea market (mostly junk).  Despite it only being 8:30 AM, it was very hot and we were soon dripping with sweat.  Maybe our respite from the heat is over?

We soon headed back in the direction of the Parliament with a detour at the National Gardens (blessed shade).  At 11 AM on Sunday mornings, there is an elaborate ceremony of the changing of the guards.  It was almost like a parade with all the guards (and the pom poms on their shoes) and a marching band.

Hello rockstar travellers! Your blog is so fun to read. When you say it's hot - do you mean hot and humid? heard it was 45 in Las Vegas yesterday so it could be worse... I'm going to pass on your link to your cousins. love to you both. Auntie B

Sounds like you're getting around okay. Have you tried any Greek coffee yet?

Some would say getting 'lost' is one of the best ways to see places you have never seen before ;) lol. I'm sure Aidan was rather entertained by the pom poms, wasn't she! :D
