A budding tourist city, Praha (Prague to those who haven't been there; but only to those who haven't been there) is an "in demand" destination for visitors and for good reason. We marveled at Prague castle with its host of cathedrals and the Bohemian parliament buildings, and that was just at one metro stop! Stunning views of Prague's multitude of bridges and the city's ancient and low skyline can be found on any hill top. However, the story that will be retold the most, for better or for worse, will be the amazing local brew Pilsner Urquell. Much more expensive in Canada, but it might even be worth it.

Highlights:
you should go...
Restaurant Devicjka Sokolovda. One metro station away from our hostel. Three evenings were spent here with cheap authentic local food, cheap beer (about a dollar CDN for a 0.5 L), and the same old guy in the corner.
The longest escalator rides of your life, moving to and from the metro.

The "Old Square" - with or with out throngs of tourists - it is still a site to see. One possibly over-looked but never-forgotten sight would have to be the old Czech dude that played saxophone, trombone, and sang soprano to famous Italian and Mediterranean classics. Chances are if YOU visit...anytime in your lifetime, on any day...you will hear his sometimes sweet melodies.
Charles Bridge (built in 1357) lined with medieval statues and a so-called world famous guitar player (still panhandling mind you) who had to be removed for lack of a permit. The best part about this bridge was the 5:30am photoshoot before our bus ride to Budapest.

The Champions League soccer match including the local Slavia FC vs. Bucharesti FC! The tickets were a birthday gift from Titus to Chester, complete with being located in the centre of the Slavia fans' section, and learning a host of cheers in Czech (all forgotten). The 2-1 victory for Slavia certainly eased the stress of the riot police.
Vyshrad. A Unesco World Heritage Site without the tourists! Built and rebuilt since the 9th century, the fortress used to protect Prague and the surrounding area and was the seat of many of Prague's rulers.

And one final mention to Pilsner Urquell.
