One Night in Bangkok and the World's Your Oyster

We all got on a flight from Krabi to Bangkok, and I have to admit, Kevin and I were ready for some easy city living after so much traveling. Africa to Everest to sunshine non-stop, we were ready for some sushi and a movie theater. So, that's exactly what we did. Three days in a row. You don't understand these VIP movie theaters, though. They feed you appetizers and lay you down on chairs that recline like beds (some massage chairs) and give you a nice silk blanket and pillow. They're ridiculous. I almost fell asleep in Oceans Thirteen though, it was too comfortable. We checked out Spiderman 3 at the IMAX, which was absolutely incredible to see on an IMAX screen. The four of us were literally mall rats in the Paragon Plaza (a beautiful mall in Bangkok) for three days. I even was able to get my hair cut after 5 long months of traveling. I highly recommend getting your hair cut at a nice salon in Bangkok because 1) it is so much cheaper than the United States and 2) they massage you the whole time! While I was getting my hair cut, they massaged me non-stop. It was heaven.

So, we had our quick fix of Bangkok. Saw another amazing ringside Muay Thai boxing match. This one with two knock-outs and, thankfully, no 8 year old boys fighting, although there was a great little 15-year old whose number one fan was me. Next stop, Singapore and then on to Bali, Indonesia.
