Wrong Side of the Road

We strapped the baby in the car seat. Jim climbed in on the passenger side. I got behind the wheel on the right--or wrong side of the car, and off we drove. Largest city in Cyprus, first time driving on the left, no pressure. With Jim to constanly remind me which side was left, I was free to try to shift gears with the window handle. Opps, wrong hand! And we were off to Episkopi. It is a wonderful village right on the coast with windy little streets. We can never find our way back to the hotel on the first try.

The hotel is amazing and just what the baby ordered. There is a huge garden courtyard with honeysuckle and every other flower to be imagined. We've spent a lot of time at the fishpond which has 5 koi and is littered with yellow flower bloosoms.
Yesterday Chloe wanted to go walking, so we went to Kolossi castle, took the winding stone staircase all the way to the top for a view of the village and sea. We had to be careful going back down because there were drangons and tickle monsters left over from the time that Richard the Lion Hearted built the castle.

And finally the beach. Baby ecstasy--sand, water, rocks, and beach toys. How long did it take us to get the sand out of the baby? Pictures will follow! Chloe was very brave about being carried into the waves and even swam between mom and dad once. We all had a great time.
