Settling in Melbourne

Well I've arrived! Rach picked me up at the airport and its great to be here. Melbourne seems a really nice city, kind of like london but much less populated and a bit warmer! Only a bit though, its still spring here and definitly not warm! Its been the Melbourne Cup this week, a huge horse race that everybody gets the day off for! Rachel and Chris live about 15 minutes train ride from the centr in a nice area called Essendon.

They threw a little bbq on monday and I met some of their friends, who were all really nice. Yesterday me and Rach went into Melbourne and did some sights, we went to the War memorial and the Botannic Gardens, where they are getting married in Feb. We did also hit the beach but not for long as it was too cold!!

Am starting to job hunt this week so will keep you all updated...
