Dublin was a great time, even though it was a bit frigid. We arrived on Thursday around 5 pm. We checked into our hostel at Abbey Court. It was right in the center of town near the Liffey (the river). We visited some pubs and explored the city. We went to bed early because we had a bid day ahead of us on Friday.

We woke up very early on Friday morning because we took a tram to the train station, where we caught a train to Gallway. When we arrived in Gallway, we took a bus tour around the countryside of Ireland. We visited the Ailway caves, which were fun. We were able to view the coast along with many beatiful cemeteries along the way. We stopped at a few cathedrals as well. The best part of the tour was the trip to the cliffs of Moher, where they have the highest waves in the world (5 stories high). It was such an amazing site. The weather was freezing, but I enjoyed every minute.

On Saturday, we woke up early to check into our next hotel and all of the buses were delayed because of the parade. We missed the parade, but ended up making it into town in time to see some Irish singing and dancing. We went to some fun pubs and met a lot of great people. The Irish are so hard to understand. They say the funniest things like, "Excuse me Love", "Are you waiting in the Q (line) and "That was lovely".

On Sunday, we went to the Guiness factory, which was a great time. It is 8 stories high and there is a bar on the top floor with beautiful views of Dublin. We went to see Christ Church Cathedral and St. Patricks Cathedral. We went home to the bed and breakfast where Mary, the owner, made us delicious irish tea and irish soda bread!!
