Hello!
How is America?
and rules similar to Baseball
Today was very eventful. We went to school and spent much time with the German students learning English. We interviewed them and they interviewed us. It was fun and interesting to see their viewpoints. Many of us took a break at one point and went to the near bye shopping center to mail postcards and to sample the local ice cream and coffee. It is not Starbucks but WOW! Mine had pure caramel in it. Nummy. Kelsey tried a huge coffee and Katie found a coke.

Then back to school and more interviewing. Afterwards we met up for the Texas Garbsen club meeting. They took care of business first. We now have all the information sheets on who will be visiting Texas the last two weeks of October.
Then we had the cakes that several students brought. Oh, I forgot - the Garbsen newspaper came and photographed us. Michael was not so happy. He had borrowed a Sax and was trying to play - it had reed problems. So the Newspaper man placed Michael in the front of the group looking like he was playing and the rest in the back. Michael was pretending to play and he just doesn't like acting- The newspaper man said not to worry, they couldn't print his music anyways.

Then we all went to the field and to ensure that all participated, we played a game invented by Herr Dohmeier. It involves tennis balls, a rackets, many cones, a basket and rules similar to Baseball. We have some very athletic kids. Katie was awesome. Alicia H can catch a ball as can Joshua and James. Roselyn was very cute. I did not know it but Greg can run. We have pictures to prove it.
Later, Amanda, Anneliese and I went shopping for a bit of food that we needed then we went our separate ways.

I forgot to add that I introduced my host family to quesadilla's tonight. They loved them. Rainer even put the green hot sauce on them. We will make a Texan out of him yet!
