France

1. still uses traffice circles a lot / the cheeses are not just cheddar and mozerella... you actually have tons of choice... so much you don't know what to pick / knowing French does help a lot, but English is still okay / being prepared for rain is always good / baguettes really are a meal

Spain

2. they seemed to have more traffic lights then circles / eatting lunch at noon just doesn't work, unless you want to eat alone... which we did for a while / shops do close aroudn 1pm to 2 pm...which just throws everything in your schedule off / Spanish really is a beautiful language, not that I needed convincing / Spanish people are so friendly and helpful / Tortilla's are not what we think they are...just to let you know.. it is more of an egg, potatoe and onion...cooked like a cake and then you get a slice of it... but ohhhh so good / Tapas restaurants are amazing because they offer small plates of different dishes and so you can just keep on ordering until you are done / Cataluyna Cream for dessert is a must / just eat and don't stop here

Portugal

3. first and foremost.. is the food because you just can't beat it... I know I am a little bias, but Bern agrees... / Duck is really good and dipping your bread is a must / ohhh and I am almost embarrassed to say that I have eatten bread that has been in the freezer ...sometimes longer than it should be because after Portugal. I don't know I can go back to not having fresh bread.  There really isn't nothing better than bread that was just made that morning and then the next morning you go and get stuff made from that morning... just try it... I swear. / Portugal really is the best!!!!!!!! / tons of traffic circles which Katia got me used to being in / Portuguese men really are goodlooking!!! / i could just go on and on about Portugal so I sho uld stop... but you have to see it

Italy

4. Three words Gelatto and Pizza because you cannot go wrong with that / they stop for pedestrians here / the italian accent is one of the best.. but i just can't speak it / the history here is beyond compare.. i guess it would be hard to go against the Romans /

I guess that is all i can think of right now.  The Romance Countries have been a blast and I hope to take something back with me from each country.

Love you all. I hope you are enjoying the blog and especially since i now got some photoes uploaded. Enjoy.

Bridge, Love your summary. Seeing Pompeii would have been so stunning - the devestation and the preservation. It sounds like there are a million and one flavors of gelatto- sure wouldn't mind doing a taste test!
