We travelled by train from Cairo down to Aswan, it was a long overnight journey and I did have a panic attack due to the Egyptians crowding around us and obsessing over our blonde hair - it's not that it was overly scary but I felt so uncomfortable as they were invading my personal space - alot.

The attractions in Aswan included Elephantine Island and the Aswan dams. We visited the Nubain village to see how they lived.. we spent the night with one of the families and the male of the house had about 3 wives (I think it's 7 that they are allowed!) It was a really nice trip and then we jumped on our Felucca to sail down the nile.
