A Freezing Night

So I got to Hat Yai and took a tuk tuk (I love saying that) to the train station, and from there I walked to find a hotel. I found one only two blocks away with A/C, hot water, and TV for only 400 baht/night, so I took it. I wandered around the block looking for dinner and ended up right next to my hotel (oops) at a chinese place. The guy couldn't understand what I wanted, so he just kept saying "flied lice?" (aka fried rice) which I don't even like. I finally got him to understand in Thai, which was good. I caught up on my email and then watched some TV. I watched The Bourne Supremacy dubbed in Thai with English subtitles, which was a riot, and then I watched fox news, which was just awful, but caught me up on the presidential candidates news.

The next morning I woke up at 6 to pack and get to the train station for a 6:45 train. I got there in plenty of time, bought my ticket, and then missed the train because the IDIOT told me the wrong platform number. So I went back to my hotel, had breakfast, and finished up my Thai phone card talking to my family before getting on a minibus to Pulau Penang at 9:30.

Since you're down on the southern border, I'm surprised you didn't come up with something like the following: Two Malays with malaise took a tuk tuk to Thailand to buy Thai ties.
