Sydney is Great! I think it is one of my new favorite cities, so far I love it here. It is clean, beautiful, warm, and Suji is here!
I arrived on Tuesday night after the longest trip I have ever had- SFO- Tokyo- Singapore, “slept” on a couch in the Singapore airport then flew to Sydney. I was greeted at the airport by Suji and Chiara! Chiara is here with her friend Valeria in Australia for a month but they already headed up north with a party friend of theirs. I will likely catch up with them at the end of my trip.

Suji has a nice apartment overlooking Bondi beach, which is just a 10 minute walk from here. It’s a funny place- packed full of Beautiful People, all lounging in the sun and checking themselves out. Quite Euro, too- many of the men wear Speedos and the women go topless. The sun is HOT, though, apparently this is the part of the world where the ozone is a bit weak, and even though it is autumn the sun burns. 30 minutes is about all I can take. The water is gorgeous- chilly but nice and so clear! Even in the surf I could look down and see my toes. I love it!

Today I went into the city to see some sights- Suji’s office and the Opera House. I woke up this morning feeling like I have a broken toe (no idea what it is all about- maybe too much flip flop wearing?) – it seriously hurts to walk so I didn’t get to do quite as much as I wanted but I have plenty of time here. This weekend is the bridge’s 75th birthday so we may go down to check out the festivities. It is also St. Patty’s day which Suji is pretty excited about but I’m not too sure that I’ll be able to keep up with her, in fact I may not even try. Next weekend we are going to a beach down south- she rented a house with some of her friends and I’m looking forward to that. Then I plan to head north to the Great Barrier Reef and some other beautiful tropical places.

Here are a few pictures for now- just one of Suji- she works so much she's not in on the weekday fun but more to come, I'm sure.
