Started out early. I wanted to get to the Victoria Markets to have some Dutch Pancakes...but it wasn't to be. The markets were closed. So I went on my way to the zoo.
The Melbourne Zoo is 142 year old and is quite interesting. I spent a few hours there until I started to get overrun by school groups, then I decided that it was time to go.

I stopped in Wangaratta and Glenrowan on my way. In Glenrowran I went to the Ned Kelly Memorial and Homestead and to the animatronic Ned Kelly's Last Stand. Also in Glenrowan is the Big Ned Kelly and the Glenrowran Inn where the famous shot out between the police and Ned Kelly's gang occurred.
In Wangaratta they were on the last day of the jazz festival that they have there each year, so I walked down the streets and stopped at Scribblers Cafe where I could have a bite to eat while listening to the jazz band just outside. I walked through Kaluna Park on my way back to the car and had a look at the stalls and bands that were playing there. Back on the road I stopped at the Milawa Cheese Factory for some yummy free samples. After all that it was starting to get late so I headed back home to Canberra!
