Merry Christmas to everyone! Hope everyone had a good one.

We have not written the blog for a few weeks now. This is mainly because we haven't been doing anything of great interest, just working!

We spent Chrsitmas with eight other members of our house. We cooked up a Christmas feast between us all and ate out in our back yard in the sun. It was a great day, with lots of great food and booze, and even a quick trip to the beach!

Since Christmas we have started to do a few more tourist activities. Earlier this week we have been to the Canterbury Museum. It was ok, but we have been to quite a few similar yet better places whilst in New Zealand (Te Papa for one) and so this place didn't really tell us anything new.

Just yesterday we went out to the Antarctic Centre, which we both really enjoyed. We experienced a -25 degree celcius blizzard, and Hannah spent an age watching the tiny Blue Penguins waddling around their enclosure.

Over the next few days, we plan to hit the road again to explore the local area. We will head south first, back to Christchurch for New Year, and then north. Not sure what we will get up to yet, the only definate thing is that we plan to go on a Whale watching cruise in Kaikoura.
