Nothing new to report... at all.  We (the little cabal of backpackers that have sort of banded together in our local cafe for tea every day) have more or less just sat around and tried to survive the crummy weather.  Did a nice little hike two days ago, the last time the sun showed it's face, but that was about it.

One interesting tidbit of the last few days is that someone has recommended (in all seriousness, I think) that I read the book, "Surfers of the Zuvuya," about a man who gets in touch with his fourth-dimensional twin, "Uncle Joe Zuvuya," and spends their time together "surfing" the fourth dimension and learning the secrets behind Mayan timekeeping in order to fully understand the impending Harmonic Convergence that's coming in 2012.  So yeah, if you don't already have stocking stuffers, "Surfers of the Zuvuya" would make a nice gift.

And here's a picture i took on the hike.  would have been a lot better if I didn't have to pretend like i wasn't taking this guy's picture.  too bad.
