Goa head

My days consist of sitting on the beach eating pineapples that a woman carried on her head, discussing life with travelling hippies, doing Yoga on the beach, and working on my tan, afterwhich I retire to my cottage which is costing me about 5 bucks a night. Goa is absolutely amazing.

You know how the best way to roast a marshmellow is to do it slowly? If you do it quick it just gets burnt, but when you hold it away from the fire and slowly get that milky brown color, then you are in for some delicousness. Thats also the best method to tan a Katie. If I go at noon then I turn into a lobster, but at 3 I toast slowly. Delicousness.

The Arabian Sea is SO WARM. Absolutely warmer than my frigid icecube of a shower (which I am grateful for after a day at the beach).

There are all kinds of people selling things up and down the beach. Who needs to go to the mall when yo can just lay on your comfy sunchair and let the goods come to you. The only hassle is that you have to bargain. Yesterday I tried to buy some coral mantra beads from this young guy, named Santosh. He started at 800 rupees (like 17 bucks) After 10 minutes of frustrated haggling I got him down to 70 rupees (2 dollars). It reminded me of the pow-wows I used to go to when I was a kid. I could buy something for 50 cents, then swap and swap until I had a 20 dollar beading loom. A little different, but you get the connection. They love to ripoff the white folk here. I can't say I blame them because the majority of the tourist on the beach are rich Europeans and Aussies. I have yet to meet another You Esser.

Screw Florida, I am retiring in Goa (If I don't move here sooner)

LOVE

Katie
